Air pollution and nuclear disasters are believed to be a big problem,but there are many steps that can be taken in order to help our planet.

To start with many environmental disasters can be avoided provided that an international agreement is made after having the issues of both nuclear reactors and dumping nuclear waste at sea discussed by experts from all the countries that could be affected. When a nuclear accident occurs the radiation tends to affect millions of people and that is the reason why not only should the reactors be inspected by teams of international experts but also there should be strict safety regulations governing the construction of the nuclear plants.

Besides some measures can be taken on national level. For example if car manufactures were made by the government to fit effective filters on car exhausts and factory chimneys the level of air pollution would surely decrease. What is more these actions would in turn reduce the damage caused to lakes and forests which keep to be destroyed by acid rain.

Lastly there are steps that we must take as individuals. Firstly we shouldn’t fail to use either public transport or a bike despite of having our own car. Once being bound to use our car we must make sure that the petrol we buy is lead free. Secondly, if we made our opinion known and the public boycotted products such as aerosols which are believed to damage the ozone layer, packing policies would have to be changed.

To conclude pollution is a problem that can be dealt with and these are some of the steps that can be taken in order to fight it.
