It was a beautiful sunny day and there were hardly any clouds in the sky so Tom decided to go for a walk so he could relax after his busy week. Even though working for ten years as a police negotiator had already made him familiar with difficult situations and sleepless nights, the idea of having a day off could not appeal to him more. Unfortunately no sooner had he closed the door he got a phone call from his office and was told he was needed immediately due to an urgent situation. Being aware of the fact that he would not be provided with anything to eat at work, he came back home, grabbed a sandwich and made for the place where he was being waited for. As soon as he got there he saw a lot of police cars and many agent but none of them were believed to have the skills needed to deal with the problem and that was the reason why they had called Tom. What was happening was that there was an armed man in an important politician’s house threatening to kill him unless he was given a car with one million dollars in the trunk. Tom who had amazing negotiating skills came slowly into the house, and started doing his duty. Not until Tom made the man put the gun down preventing him from murdering an important politician did the police arrested the offender.
Tom was invited to have a dinner with his team but he decided to come back home and try to relax again.
